Walk down any supplement aisle—or scroll through pages of options online—and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. With so many brands, bold health claims, and trendy ingredients, how do you know what’s actually good for you?

At Connected Health, we believe choosing supplements should feel empowering, not confusing. Our clinical team takes a thoughtful, evidence-based approach when it comes to recommending vitamins, minerals, and nutraceuticals. So what sets reputable supplements apart from the rest?

1. Look for transparency

Good brands share where their ingredients come from, how they’re tested for purity and potency, and whether they meet third-party certifications (like NSF or USP).

2. Don’t assume “more” is better

More milligrams, more ingredients, more buzzwords—it doesn’t always mean more benefit. The right supplement is one that fits your specific needs, ideally guided by a healthcare professional and your bloodwork.

3. Be cautious with online retailers

Places like Amazon can be super convenient, but it’s not always clear how supplements were stored, whether they’re within shelf life, or if the seller is even an authorized distributor. That’s why we always encourage our patients to be mindful when ordering online.
